The Women Officials Network Foundation announced the winners of their annual WONder Woman Awards – Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper, Author and Detroit Free Press Journalist Rochelle Riley, Bloomfield Hills Schools Board of Education President Cynthia von Oeyen and City of Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman.
The award honors women who have improved the quality of life in Michigan through their civic, philanthropic and professional accomplishments. This year marks the 34rd celebration of the WONder Woman Awards Banquet and many past honorees will attend.
Each WONder Woman honoree contributes to the community beyond that which is required in their employment; demonstrates character, commitment and leadership; and assists women and girls in reaching full leadership potential through civic engagement, personal and professional contacts.
The Women Officials Network Foundation is a nonprofit nonpartisan organization.
