Sharing the Bible Story through Godly Play

Sharing the Bible Story through Godly Play

Sunday School meets at 9:15 on Sunday mornings.

This semester children are exploring the biblical story. Classes begin with a greeting and a gathering song, followed by a film of Carmel sharing the story using a method called “Godly Play”. The story comes to life with simple narration and wooden figures. Children spend time wondering about the story, articulating their questions and exploring the story by using the materials that were delivered to their homes. Once again our CCB-UCC Youth gathered to prepare items for delivery, including wooden figures, pipe cleaners, paints, and playdough. Younger children (preschoolers and pre-readers) are dismissed after this section, and older children spend the rest of class time exploring their Bibles with Carmel’s guidance.

If your child would like to join these sessions, contact Carmel Tinnes at carmelf711@yahoo.com.
